The story behind ACE Fabrication
Andrew Martin spent a lot of time on the family farm growing up after his family moved to Keith in 1968.
He attended Keith Area School for 10 Years and at the age of 16 Andrew started full time at the local ‘Dalriada’ in the slaughter floor production. During his time at ‘Dalriada’, he was responsible for the design and fabrication of many new processing machines to expand the plant and increase productivity. After 10 years of working at Dalriada, Andrew had the opportunity to buy a share of the business of which carried through for another 20 years.
Instead, in 2011, Andrew decided to leave and find that thing that was missing. He decided to help a friend with his painting business and his brother with his metal fabrication business whilst finding his feet. During this time, Andrew found a real passion for metal fabrication.
In 2015 he decided to open his own workshop building trays, trailers, canopies and doing other custom metalworking. He quickly made a name for himself and soon found that he needed more space than little shed in the middle of town could offer.
In 2019, Andrew made the decision to upgrade his business to the current location on the forefront of the emerging industrial district.
The new location allowed the business to grow, allowing for larger jobs with more versatility in repairs and new builds. He continue the skilled applications of high attention to detail and high quality of work that Andrew had always been known for, as well as sharing his knowledge in agricultural repairs with a large showroom of spare parts and stock. Moving to the new location opened new doors to more efficient ways of building the trays, trailer, and canopies he was well known for. Now with a diverse team offering many different strengths, All Custom Engineering aims to continue the expansion of previous successes and innovation in all facets of the business.
